Delivering advertising that cuts through the clutter means looking for opportunities to create something out-of-category. Of course, referring to the TV commercial we developed for Afdent’s 1-800-Toothache ad campaign as out-of-category is an understatement.

Starting with a ridiculous storyline about a toothache that comes from nowhere as you’re simply trying to relax with friends at a campsite, and drawing analogies that takes the viewer to a fishing charter off the coast of Bora Bora builds a strong foundation for grabbing and holding viewers’ attention. Throw in more than 100 colorful graphics all flying around, in-studio commercial photography, video animation, and great sound effects and you’ve got a recipe for an award winning commercial that significantly increased awareness and calls.
